This policy explains what personal information Blue Shark Studio (“Blue Shark Studio,” “we,” “us”) collects, why we collect it, how we handle it, and what choices you have. It applies to this website and to our messaging and support services.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need in order to respond to you and to provide the services you ask for:
- Contact information you give us directly — your name, email address, and mobile phone number.
- Messaging consent records — if you opt in to receive text messages, we record that you consented, along with the date, time, and the method you used to opt in. We keep this because carrier rules and telephone consumer protection law require us to be able to demonstrate consent.
- Message content — the text of messages you exchange with us, kept so we can provide continuity of support and resolve disputes.
- Basic technical information — our hosting provider records routine server logs, such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, as an ordinary part of serving the site securely.
This website does not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics, or tracking pixels.
How we use information
- To reply to enquiries you send us by email or through our contact form.
- To send automated status alerts about the Blue Shark Robot by text message, where you have opted in to receive them.
- To send you the specific categories of messages you consented to receive.
- To keep records demonstrating that consent was obtained, as required by law and by mobile carriers.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Mobile information and text messaging
We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
How we collect your mobile number and consent
The only way to join our text messaging program is by entering your mobile number on our contact form and separately checking the consent box shown next to it. That box is never checked for you, and checking it is never required in order to submit the form, contact us, or receive any service from us. We do not buy, rent, import, or otherwise obtain mobile numbers from any other source.
When you opt in, we store your mobile number, the date and time you consented, the exact consent wording displayed to you at that moment, and the page you submitted it from.
What we use it for
Your mobile number is used solely to send you automated status alerts about the Blue Shark Robot, the system we operate — online and offline notifications, battery level, and hardware faults such as a camera or microphone dropping out.
We do not send marketing or promotional text messages. Consent given for these alerts is never treated as consent for any other kind of message.
Frequency, rates, and how to stop
Message frequency varies, because how often you hear from us depends on how often you contact us. Message and data rates may apply. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to any message from us, and you can reply HELP at any time for assistance, or email us at the address at the bottom of this page. Your mobile phone number and your opt-in are treated as sensitive. They are not sold, rented, or disclosed for anyone else’s marketing purposes, and they are not passed to data brokers or lead-generation services under any circumstances.
When we disclose information
We disclose personal information only in these situations:
- Service providers. Vendors who operate parts of our service on our behalf — website hosting, messaging delivery, and email — may process information strictly to perform that work for us. They are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
- Legal requirements. Where we are required to disclose information by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request, or where disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, safety, or property, or that of others.
- Business transfer. If Blue Shark Studio is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction. Mobile opt-in data and consent remain subject to the restriction stated above.
Automated messaging
The text messages sent under this program are generated automatically by the Blue Shark Robot rather than typed by a person. You can reach a person at any time by emailing us at the address below, and we will follow up directly.
How long we keep information
We keep contact details and message history for as long as needed to provide our services and for a reasonable period afterward. Records of messaging consent and of opt-out requests are retained for at least four years after the relationship ends, because carrier rules and applicable law require us to be able to evidence consent for that period. We delete or anonymize information once it is no longer needed for these purposes.
Security
This site is served exclusively over HTTPS. We limit access to personal information to those who need it in order to do their work, and we use reputable providers for hosting and message delivery. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
- Stop text messages — reply STOP to any message. This works at any time and takes effect immediately.
- Access, correction, and deletion — you may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
- Withdraw consent — you may withdraw any consent you have given, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
To make a request, email us at the address below. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Children
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will revise the “last updated” date above. Material changes affecting how we handle your information will be communicated to you directly where we have a way to reach you.
